EHPAD, résidence autonomie or USLD and what a resident with insufficient income can pay, provided the facility holds places authorised to receive social aid recipients. Grandchildren are exempt from the family financial-support obligation otherwise considered. Amounts paid are recoverable, both during the beneficiary's lifetime and from their estate after death. Applications go through the CCAS or town hall, which forwards them to the département.
